The academic year 2014/2015 will see Coláiste Bríde students participating for the sixth time in the student exchange programme for pupils of German. The group of 42 Coláiste Bríde girls travelling to Germany in April 2014 for a week have already played host to their German partners in September 2013.
Students from 2nd, 3rd and Transition Year take part in the exchange programme which is with our partner school near Munich. Gymnasium Bruckmühl is a secondary grammar school of similar size to our own, situated in rural Bruckmühl in the south of Bavaria, Germany. The exchange format is different to the usual school trip in that students stay with a host family in order to experience something of the everyday life and culture of the host country.
