Climate Action Committee

Coláiste Bríde students took to the streets of Enniscorthy today to protest for "Climate Action". Geography students from 1st - 6th year walked out of the classroom to protest against the governments lack of action regarding Climate Change. Ms.Doocey, their geography teacher, said:  "Students are studying climate change and now realise that it is a reality, we have only 12years to reverse the course of the damage we have already done and our students are frustrated that our government has taken no action to tackle this problem and protect their future".  The 15th of March had been set as the date for global climate change strikes sparked by Swedish student Greta Thunberg and Coláiste Bríde students were only to happy join the global movement and voice their concerns. As one student questioned: "What use is learning the facts if adults ignore them?"
