The Transition Year Graduation Ceremony was held in the Sports Hall at 7pm on Wednesday May 25th. The ceremony began with a slideshow of pictures detailing the many, many events, activites and fun in which the Tys were involved in this past year.
This was followed by a welcoming message from students in 9 different languages. A number of students gave a summary of the year, month by month, highlighting the busy but fun life of a Coláiste Bríde Transition Year Student. Stories of first days, team building opportunities, mini-companies, fashion shows, kayaking, plays, trips, bus journeys and deadlines reminded us of just how busy these girls have been this past year!
Mr. Sheridan presented the girls with their awards and certificates of achievement for all activities throughout the year. A draw was held for the special prize of an ipad and Nicole Kavanagh from 4A was the lucky girl whose name was called out. I'm sure Nicole will enjoy that over the summer months!
Beautiful music, singing, dance and crafts were proudly on display and thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. They really are a talented group and girls and have set the bar fairly high for next years Tys!!!
After a beautiful ceremony, the Transition Years went outside to the playing field to release their hopes and dreams into the air. They went soaring high into the sky and off on their merry way!
More pics to follow soon !!
Best of luck in the future girls! ;-)
