On Thursday 21st January 2016 the Transition Year students had their official photo shoot for Junk Kouture. For the first class the girls went down to the sports hall to clean up from the previous night’s show, while the models re-applied their makeup and wacky hair styles to look the part for the photo shoot. The reason behind the photo shoot was to have professional pictures taken of our dresses so we can upload them to the Junk Kouture website. The judges will then pick the dresses from the pictures submitted, which will then compete in the Regional Final.
Each team got to go into the room and get photos taken of their dress. The room had been decorated by Pat, Ms Duggan, Ms McEvoy and Ms Whelan with white sheets to give it an overall professional look. After the Junk Kouture pictures were taken, Ms Whelan took pictures of each model and their team designers to put in a slideshow at the end of the Fashion Show DVD. Then any team member who wanted a picture in their dress got their hair and makeup done and tried the dress on. Ms Whelan then took photos of each team member who wanted a picture in the dress.
After the clean up was complete, everyone (teachers included!!) took a well deserved break. Now, fingers crossed for news back on what dresses, if any, got through to the Junk Kouture Regional Finals!
