Surprise visit for 2D

1/12/2015

Picture
Last week Miss Galvin's second year English class had a surprise visit from author Jane Mitchell.  Jane is the author of the award winning book Chalkline.  2D had just finished reading the novel and sent Jane's publisher an email with some questions about the book.  The author herself followed up on the email and organised with Miss Galvin to visit the school to surprise the girls. According to Miss Galvin when the girls realised who was in the school library they 'could not believe it. The giggles and gasps were heart-warming. The author herself was quite taken-aback by their reaction'. It was fantastic that Jane took the time to come to Enniscorthy to meet our students and we are very grateful that she did. s.
